Make Your Voice Heard!
The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) thanks you for your participation in our focus group meetings these past two weeks to provide input on the 2020-2025 Mental Health Services Act Workforce Education and Training (WET) Five-Year Plan development.
OSHPD has two additional requests regarding:
- Outreach for stakeholder engagement; and
- Information about community college programs related to mental health.
Outreach for stakeholder engagement
In OSHPD's continued effort to engage the public mental health system community in California, we ask for your assistance to distribute information about additional opportunities to provide input to the department regarding workforce needs. OSHPD will launch a statewide survey in early October and convene seven regional community forums between late October and mid-November. Please forward the following link to anyone you think might be interested in contributing to this important work: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2020-25WET. The purpose of this VERY brief questionnaire is to assess interest in the statewide survey and community forums. OSHPD will follow up directly with respondents on these upcoming engagement opportunities. Please submit any questions about the WET Plan stakeholder engagement process to OSHPD at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information about community college programs related to mental health
OSHPD is attempting to identify community college programs that train individuals to work in the mental health field (e.g., mental health workers or peer personnel). If you know of any such schools, please email the name of the school and contact information for program affiliates to OSHPD email@example.com.
The information requested will not be used or shared for any other purposes. Please feel free to forward this email to other interested parties. OSHPD thanks you in advance for your assistance with this very important work.
