The next GBA Collaborative for the South Bay Area will be held on March 20, 2015 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. This area consists of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties although other Bay Area members are always welcome. Please send this invite to any contact you have in the South Bay region. We are especially interested in having input from college and community member staff. The meeting will be at the Social Work Program Office, and the address and directions are below. A map is also attached.
We have a preliminary agenda (below). A formal agenda will be sent out the week before the meeting.
Agenda (draft) for 3/20/15:
· Regional training – ASAM, interpreter training and others
· Reports back from the Together Against Stigma Conference (2/18 -20 in San Francisco) and implications for workforce development
· Curriculum collaboration – behavioral health training for nursing students; next steps and proposal
· 2015-18 Collaborative Action plan and South Bay Collaborative planning
· Updates from partners
Here are the directions - Hope to see you there, and please do send this message to your contacts!
We will be holding the meeting at our Social Work Program at Beach Hall West (Campus Building #21). The actual address is 3044 Divarty Street, Seaside, CA. A pdf campus map is attached to this e-mail.
Driving directions: from Rt. 1 N or S, take the Lightfighter Drive Exit #406. At the third traffic light, turn left onto General Jim Moore Drive. At the stop sign, make a right on Divarty Street. We are the second building on the right. Parking is available behind our building - and the lot will be quite empty as it is spring break for students. You must purchase a $4 daylong parking pass to park in this lot; a parking vendor machine is located at the entrance to our lot for that purpose.
Any questions, please call our Academic Support Coordinator, Ms. Ashley Rodriguez, at 831-582-5316.
