Southern Bay Area Regional Partnership
The Southern Bay Area Regional Partnership includes the mental health/behavioral health departments of San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. The primary regional focus is the development of a new MSW Program at California State University Monterey Bay. Under the leadership of Monterey County Behavioral Health, the program was approved by the Chancellor's Office in December 2009, and enrolled its first cohort of students in August 2010. The program is currently also in the process to become fully accredited by the National Council on Social Work Education. This new MSW program serves the mental health workforce needs of the Central Coast area.
